The unit is reasonably compact and the installation and configuration instructions quite comprehensive and well written, With so many parameter options, choosing the ideal settings can be a bit overwhelming although the default settings seem to do a reasonable job out of the box.
There is considerable flexibility in how the unit can be set up and should provide most with the best options for how they wish to use the unit within the limits of its capacity range. In this respect, for a small solar installation, it is quite a cost effective solution although costs can build up with all the necessary cables, breakers and the like.
On the down side, the orange case is somewhat incongruous and really needs to be mounted in an enclosure. This would also help with the rather intrusive fan noise.
My main disappointment, to date, is with the suggested data capture. This, as suggested feature, with the proposed apps is a complete lie. It simply doesn't work. Perhaps with other software and interface methods it might but Eco-Worthy's customer support seem as mystified in getting it to work as anyone from the user community.
In summary, a compact and flexible small solar solution which makes up for its lack of finesse through its modest price.
The kit is great and easy to install. As many have said the settings are hard to get right and I'm still working on them.
Setup to charge 2 x Power stations which support Sky Q and TV in the front room and a TV and mini sky q in another.
Tried to set the power saver setting but it doesn't seem to work. But early days.
Would like to understand the extra settings in the app to help assist the setup.
Works really well in my off-grid setup on a caravan.
Trouble is the WIFI box supplied requires an internet connection in order to view any data on a mobile. It is impossible to set it up using a hotspot on the same phone. That would at least be a work-around.
Also it would be useful to find a compatible Bluetooth box that would fit in the same port as the WIFI box as another way to display data wirelessly. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one.
Apart from that, works great as specified.
My review is almost a full a repeat of Kevin Faulkner. However, I use mine to power a Koi pond filtration system. PV during the day switching to battery the grid at night.
"Arrived quickly and well packed.
Fitting was easy, clear instructions. Fired up first time all ok. Could do with some guidelines to settings, so for instance it has many parameters and Moe's, I want to use it for powering a shed from solar panels and only switch to mains when dark and battery low..... Others may wish to use as a ups....however some trial and error on the adjustments over 3 days got me where I need to be. Looks well designed but time will tell. Good wireless interface and monitoring data. A Facebook/online user forum would be useful"
