I’ve only had it installed for a week, and not really been in a position to test it but installing, packaging and information were very good.
I also had to contact support, who, although are outside of the UK and took a little longer than I’d hoped to resolve my issues, ultimately they came through with flying colours.
Would I recommend?
Yes.
First things first... Wire this up to your starter battery first ONLY. You can then set which battery type you have. After this you can then connect it to your solar. This is not explained at all. I only learnt this from a YouTube video.
I'm not sure how well this charger/mppt works yet. It seems to power up but what is strange is that even when i isolate it from the solar panels and isolate it from my van starter battery it still lights up as if it isnt isolated. The only way ive found to switch it off is to remove the fuse between it and the leisure battery, which im sure cant be good.
With this being a budget devise there are absolutely no videos on YouTube about it. If you were to buy Renogy you'd find endless videos on things like installing and trouble shooting due to its popularity i suppose.
I cant properly comment on performance of this Eco Worthy device yet but to be honest lack of information online is off putting.
The instruction booklet that comes with it os ok if you understand wiring. I searched and searched online for some extra diagrams and managed to find one.
I'm hoping it all turns out to be working fine but i am concerned why switching my isolators to off has 0 affect. Maybe ive wired it up wrong but i have a feeling not
Easy to fit and does it all but would recommend a video on how to use as did not no had to hold button in to switch on other than that works great
Works a dream. Upgraded to eco worthy 280 lithium battery as well night and day differences from lead acid. So happy we spent the funds on this now more than capable being off grid.
I have been using this unit for a few months now to charge 3x100ah lithium batteries, it has performed faultless all the time , I would recommend using 9mm aluminium bilt spacers when mounting as it does get warm under normal operation, highly recommended unit
