LiFePO4 12V 100Ah Lithium Battery With Bluetooth And Low-temperature Protection

Battery arrived via Fedx no problem and quickly. Had to purchase extra battery posts to fit the leads .
All worked well , battery is working but the Bluetooth connection failed within 2days now won’t connect. Looking on forums seems to be a common fault.

It’s early days but so far the battery is working as expected. Now looking forward to longer days and more sunshine so the solar panels can do their job.

We wanted to charge all our camera gear via solar power from a small garden shed type array - a combination of Green ambitions for the business and general DIY type enthusiasm for solar as a concept. We'd started out with a 100Ahr PB car battery but the constraints of that chemistry meant it could really only offer us about 50% of its actual capacity from a full charge. That wasn't enough on non sunny weeks (UK based, it's dim here!).

Having decided that LiFePo might be the answer it then took ages to wade through the various options on the market. The big brands like Victron are so expensive whilst many of the cheaper options don't look trustowrthy or have much pedigree.

Then we happened across one of those 'deconstruct' type videos on you tube, the chap doing the tear down was impressed and the build quality of the Ecoworthy battery was pretty self evident. This was followed up with Will (Lord?) the USA chap also signing the praises of ecoworthy. So we searched around for the best price and got a 100Ahr 12V version with Bluetooth and low temperature cut off.

The battery arrived as expected, in good condition and well packaged, there was a terminal box spanner included too which is a nice touch. Hooking up to our panels and Victron charge controllers was easy and the Ecoworthy app is pretty decent in letting us know what's happening to the outdoor located battery whilst we're in the house. Through the Summer months the system drags around 1.2kW into the battery over a day and runs our freezer full time through a Victron inverter. It also supplies our mobile phones and Ipads, vape batteries, around 30 varied camera batteries and keeps 4 outdoor lights working - with power to spare.

Writing this in December we have very much less daylight but the battery charges efficiently and can be taken down to almost 0% charge if need be since Lithium can cope with that undamaged. Our loads have reduced to camera battery charging, vape battery, ipad and external lights - This takes about 20% of the total capacity daily and that can be replenished even on dull days. We leave the charge no lower than 75% overall in case of power outage and consequent need for emergency power.

Throughout all this the battery BMS has balanced the cells to a high degree of accuracy throughout, we're confident the engineering is great.

Overall, absolutely faultless bit of kit, we're very pleased and impressed with it.

dropped it into the space I had (took out a smaller 60Ah) , pluged it in, and off it went charging up, I love the bluetooth view, as i can now see battery state easly from my house now. and knowing the temp protection is there, and functioning now its getting cold is nice to know.
