I started live on a yacht 35 years ago and very soon realised being off grid is essential to a life afloat and having a good battery system was very important. And one of the biggest advances in my battery bank was buying my first Lithium battery last year, a 280 ah. It has changed my life and gives me so much freedom, not worrying if my nav lights would make it through the night after a cloudy day . Now I can go a full week without having to charge my batteries. My current Lithium bank is separate from my house batteries but I would love to change the house bank to Lithium too

There is a growing trend for people to convert vans into campers where space and weight are at a premium. A combined controller, charger, battery, inverter pack pre-wired with circuit breakers and isolators, where all the elements are already balanced, simplifying both the wiring and the need to match the constituent parts, would appeal to this market. The regulations for conversions include approval for the electrical installation, if you were to obtain pre-approval for your package it turns this part of the proceedure into a rubber stamp job.
